Barely two days after a teacher in Haryana was found using his pupils to ferry liquor for him, three teachers and principal of a school in this district of Himachal were reportedly caught consuming alcohol on the premises of Government Senior Secondary School, Dharampur, showing scant regard for rules or security aspects.

DHARAMPUR (Solan): Barely two days after a teacher in Haryana was found using his pupils to ferry liquor for him, three teachers and principal of a school in this district of Himachal were reportedly caught consuming alcohol on the premises of Government Senior Secondary School, Dharampur, showing scant regard for rules or security aspects. Ironically, this booze party came to the notice of authorities on Friday, Children's Day eve.

Debunking the district administration's claims of adequate security ahead of landing of CM's helicopter in the school grounds on Saturday, hours before his visit media persons found four members of the teaching staff, including the principal, busy enjoying a drinking session inside the school.
Those found indulging in this unpalatable offensive behaviour were principal Priyag Raj Sharma, Sanskrit teacher Madan, drawing teacher Lamba, biology teacher Ravinder Gupta. However, denying having consumed alcohol, Gupta said, "I was just sitting with the other teachers."
Coming down strongly against this disgraceful act of the faculty who are supposed to set an example for students, chief minister Prem Kumar Dhumal said he would mark an inquiry and initiate departmental as well as legal action against the accused teachers.
